Qi Gong

Blanche and I were first introduced to Pangu Qi Gong through a mutual friend and participant in several of our workshops. One night Blanche had a dream where Master Ou came to her and gave her a blessing. Always on the lookout for anything that can enhance our health, energy and sense of well-being—as well as contributing to the lives of our clients—Blanche immediately knew she was going to start the practice of Pangu Qi Gong.

We were intrigued with what our friend was saying and proceeded to investigate more about this teacher, his philosophy of life, and, his teachings. We were impressed by the testimonials of people being cured of all kinds of ailments including cancer, cardio-vascular disease, colitis, ulcers, asthma and other respiratory conditions, rheumatoid arthritis and difficult skin conditions, addictions and more.

There are even cases of people who, after been given only a few weeks to live, rigorously practiced the Qi Gong exercises were totally cured! Needless to say, being a health care practitioner, I was impressed.

Initially I learned the Moving Form, followed by the Non-Moving Form and Healing Skill about a year later. After a year and a half I had the very good fortune to learn the Advance Form and be certified to teach the Moving Form of Pangu Shengong Qi Gong by Master Ou in San Francisco.

Qigong is a unique system of energy cultivation incorporating matter and spiritual characteristics to achieve an innate balance of energy. It is an effective way to absorb Qi from the universe, including core energy and basic elements (the fundamental particulate materials essential to life), which fight disease and improve health.

Pan Gu Shengong (Pan Gu Mystical Qigong) as developed by Master Ou Wen Wei is a simple, comparatively short routine that involves circling of the palms, opening the arms, and some visualizations; it has no restrictions regarding time or place for practice, nor does it involve strenuous physical activity or intense concentration.

With an underlying component of an affirmation, the practitioner absorbs the energy of the sun and moon and the essential Qi of the universe.

Tens of thousands of people around the world have learned and continue to practice Pan Gu Shengong and attest to its increasing vitality; it is amazingly effective in reducing drug dependence and has been used in drug rehabilitation programs.

Most practitioners feel the effects of Qi after their very first practice.

When practiced regularly, it can restore balance, happiness, harmony, peace of mind; rejuvenate and empower the immune system; and contribute to inexhaustible vitality.

Master Ou Wen Wei is well known as a Grand Qigong Master, an author, a poet, and a calligrapher. He is the originator of Pangu Shengong, and currently serves as the President of the Pangu Shengong International Research Institute. He was a council member of the International Medical Qigong Association and the former Director of the Qigong Science Research Institute of Guangzhou University in China.

After intensively studying ancient Chinese ways of preserving health, Master Ou created PGSG in 1990. His goal is to enable practitioners to absorb the life force of the universe and to temper and improve their own life force and immune systems. PGSG is based on the physiology of the human body and the miraculous relationship between man and nature.

Master Ou has also expended much effort in applying PGSG toward scientific research. in 1997, with Guangzhou Ministry of Public Security, he took part in a study involving the effect of Qigong therapy in the treatment of addictions in humans; the next year with the cooperation with the First Military Medical University in China he did the same for addictions in animals. All this research demonstrated PGSG’s effectiveness in stopping drug addiction.

Due to Master Ou’s outstanding achievements for society, his biography is included in the “Who’s Who in The World”, published by the World Cultural and Arts Research Centre. He also received the award of Qigong Master of the Year in the 4th World Qigong Congress and the 4th American Qigong Association in year 2001.

He won three awards: best papers, Qigong Master of the year, and outstanding contribution in the 5th International Conference on Qigong in 2006.
