Harreson Tanner

Harreson Tanner graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1977 and received his license to practice in British Columbia in the same year.

In over 30 years of Massage Therapy practice, Harreson has treated people from all walks of life, from infants to the elderly; professionals, athletes, skilled labourers, homemakers, artists and business people. Treating a wide variety of conditions such as migraines/ headaches, TMJ dysfunction, frozen shoulder, whip lash, chronic and acute lumbo-sacral conditions, stress and trauma related symptoms.

He was involved in the Massage Therapy Association of BC from its inception in the early 1980’s. He served on the board of the Massage Therapy Association for 4 years, and was President for two of those years.

As a health professional, Harreson’s commitment is to provide compassionate therapy that is non–invasive and effective. As part of this commitment, he continues to study results-oriented techniques and modalities. Some of these techniques include:

  • Muscle Energy (an Osteopathic soft tissue approach to joint manipulation)
  • Cranio-Sacral Therapy as taught by the Upledger Institute, levels I through IV
  • Advanced Craniopathy
  • Hanna Somatics
  • Visceral Manipulation
  • Trigger Point Therapy
  • Myo-fascial release and Neuromuscular Therapy

Throughout Harreson’s 30 plus years of clinical practice he has integrated many additional techniques and modalities into his unique approach to therapy and healing. His seasoned knowledge and experience can be measured by the results reported by his many patients and clients.Harreson has been a student, practitioner and teacher of meditation for over 35 years. He’s also a practitioner/ teacher of Pangu Shengong Qi Gong, and has studied and taught Conscious Breathing techniques for over 20 years.

Harreson has also studied and worked with a number of Psychic healers, and has integrated his knowledge of energy healing into his regular practice. When appropriate, Harreson will utilize visualization, body talk and somatic awareness exercises, as well as various remedial exercises to assist in the process of re-establishing homeostasis with patients.

Harreson has also had the honor and privilege to experience many indigenous ceremonies. He has participated in many Sweat Lodge Ceremonies and four Vision Quests as part of his spiritual development. This has instilled in him a deep respect for these teachings and a very tangible connection with nature and all that our mother earth provides for us.

Since 2004 Harreson has been studying Human Systems & Family Constellations work as developed by German Psychotherapist Bert Hellinger. He completed a one-year training with Francesca Mason-Boring, has studied with Heinze Stark, Mark Wolynn and attended the International Systemic Constellation Association training intensive in Germany.

Presently, Harreson and his partner Blanche facilitate Family Constellation, Conscious Breathing and Pangu Shengong Qi Gong Workshops throughout B.C., Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and Germany. They offer a 7-day intensive “The LifeShift Program” in the fall and spring each year.
